Collaborating with Kae Tempest on 'The Line Is A Curve' was a remarkable opportunity. Crafting vocal parts for tracks like "Salt Coast" and "Don't You Ever" was an incredibly fun and inspiring experience, contributing to a Top 10 album that has garnered over 11 million streams. It's been an extraordinary journey of musical synergy and creativity.

A prolific songwriter and composer, Daisy has honed her craft in a diverse range of popular and traditional music genres. Taking influence from 90’s indie and 70’s revivalism, there is also a nod to Ella Fitzgerald in her vocal turns, and a love of lullabies, nursery rhymes and folk motifs that comes through in her piano and accordion compositions. Her most recent instrument obsession is the Bessibina, a necked dulcimer custom designed by a dear friend in the shape of a bird. On the electric guitar, a grunge aesthetic interplays with finger picking, combined with vocal effects processing. Daisy’s work is continually inspired by the work of many brilliant musicians. With too many to mention, some of the most prominent influential artists include (in no particular order) Nina Simone, Radiohead, My Brightest Diamond, Adrienne Lenker, Nick Drake, Diane Cluck, Queens of the Stone Age, Bat for Lashes, Beck, Julia Jacklin, Dan Mangan, Amanda Palmer, Brooke Bentham, Fiona Apple, The Microphones, Yann Tierson, Alex G and more*.
*And she says a very big thank you, if any of them ever happen to read this, for all that they have given and continue to give <3
As a live performer, Daisy explores thematic forms of spontaneous collaboration, taking lead from traditional improvisatory practices in jazz and folk music. Her deep love of performative music-making is rooted in a somatic experience of pleasure that takes place when singing and playing instruments, both in groups and solo. Daisy has a keen interest in the processes of embodiment and entrainment that enable musicians to co-create rhythm, harmony and melody. Her passion for live music and extensive experience in creative events production combines to create a powerful skill set in putting on live concerts, improv sessions and co-operative workshops. With a particular skill set in hosting fireside music, Daisy recently co-facilitated fireside music sessions at festivals Smugglers (Kent) and Fanny’s Meadow (Somerset).
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Brian Eno, Imogen Heap, and Elliott Smith, Daisy Beau's studio serves as a sanctuary for uninhibited creativity, playful exploration, and spontaneous expression. At Goldsmiths, Daisy studied popular music production and technical engineering, building upon a foundation of skills learned at The BRIT School (London) in her teenage years. As the founder of her own record label, Daisy is committed to amplifying musical voices and nurturing creative soundscapes that help humans to feel, connect and heal. She recently undertook a woodland residency in Surrey (Liphook) where she produced her debut single, set to be released in spring 2024.
